Chateau Sonesta Hotel New Orleans
This is the hotel at which we've reserved a block of rooms for the wedding. It is located in the French
Quarter, at 800 Iberville St. at Bourbon St., about seven blocks from the reception site. It has 251 rooms
and three courtyards, one of which has a pool and bar. (Swimming might be a nice option in the heat of the
Louisiana afternoon.) The rooms are large for the Quarter, and it has a great seafood restaurant, as well
as a breakfast place and bar, off the lobby.
We've reserved a lot of rooms for Friday and Saturday night, as well as some for a few days before and after (we want you
to come for as long as you can). If you have any problems getting the dates you want please let us know, and we can adjust our
numbers. Time is of the essence in making your reservations: You can always cancel, but rooms may be gone if you wait too
long. THE ROOMS ARE ONLY RESERVED AND THE DEAL IS ONLY GOOD THROUGH FRIDAY, APRIL 22.
The rate for a regular "deluxe room" is $109 per night, plus tax. There are also special rates
for a limited number of more premium rooms, as follows:
Bourbon balcony rooms: $139
Petite or jacuzzi suite: $179
One-bedroom
suite: $350
Two-bedroom suite: $500
Making Reservations
You can register by phone at 504-586-0800. Be sure to mention you're a part of the Eidson/Powell
wedding group (Group #642836).
Please let us know as soon as you've made your reservations. It will help us greatly in our planning. Also, if
you have any trouble at all making your reservations, or have any special requests or questions, please let us know
right away so we can sort it out. And if you're looking for someone to share a room with, we might be able to help
you out with that, as well.
Other Options
Obviously, you don't have to stay at the Chateau Sonesta--there are hundreds of hotels
in New Orleans. If you have other places in mind, but are unsure about the area, we might be able to give you some
guidance. And if you make other arrangements, please give us a heads up, so we'll know that you're taken
care of.
